This article was prepared especially for the Magna Conference held during COMUNICON - International Congress on Communication and Consumption (organized by the Graduate Program in Communication and Consumer Practices at ESPM) on October 13, 2016, in São Paulo, Brazil. The work starts from the dialogue with the classic work Consumidores e Cidadãos - Consumers and Citizens- (1995) to update the discussion about consumption through the notion of access. In order to do so, it deals with generational issues of the consumption practices related to the digital environment and the forms of participation and citizenship in contemporary times.Downloads
