Abstract

In this article we reflect on how ethnocommunication, in its different forms of development by indigenous communities, is conceived, bearing particularities that we identified in the exercise of comparison with the standard way of developing audiovisuals in Western society. Based on ethnography and fieldwork carried out with the Xukuru do Ororubá people, participant observation, experiential reports and bibliographic research, we were able to identify, describe and analyze different ways of conceiving and carrying out the audiovisual process in four different indigenous communities, located between Colombia and Brazil. The aim is to develop the idea of "perspectivized communication", which is directly related to indigenous peoples and Latin American decolonial thinking. We found that it is a communication that is made through each cosmovision, making it unique in its conception and realization.
